Strategic Coaching for Individuals
Life coaching is a fairly common phenomenon. The life coach helps the client define his or her goals and then develop methods for attaining these goals. Many life coaches charge as much as $150 per hour for their services. This makes life coaching inaccessible to those who may need coaching the most. I charge only $25 per hour, and I offer a free trial of one hour of coaching.
I offer a different kind of life coaching, which I invented during a certification course on life coaching, that emphasizes strategy.
Strategic coaching focuses on achieving specific objectives through development and implementation of an array of strategies to deploy as needed. My specific areas of specialty include: major life transitions; 12-step deprogramming; managing substance use through harm reduction and individual empowerment; accessing resources from private and public sources in times of financial and personal duress; "self-extraction" from situational traps (how to escape traps set by others and even by ourselves); transcending mental and physical illness; achieving positive outcomes through conflict management, escalation, and resolution; destabilizing seemingly powerful adversaries with strategic communications and consensus-building; empowering the self through visualization and imagination; developing adaptive comic perspectives in times of sorrow; survival legal challenges both civil and criminal; enforcing and protecting one's civil rights and liberties; rebranding and retooling your identity as you emerge from a crisis; managing and thriving in life even when experiencing mental health concerns. My rate is only $25 per hour, payable via PayPal. (For clients with a significant lack of resources, I will provide three hours of coaching at no charge.) All clients may receive their first hour of coaching at no charge if they are not satisfied with the service.
